Savant
Lake Property, Ontario
RJK’s 100% owned 3,900 acre Savant Lake property is located
3 kilometres east of the town of Savant Lake. The property was
acquired from its vendors, who retain a 2% net smelter return
royalty finders fee with buy-back provision. The property lies
within the productive Sturgeon-Savant Lake greenstone belt approximately
30 kilometres north of the 20 million tonne Mattabi VMS camp.
The property was acquired on the basis of lithologic and geochemical
similarities of the Sturgeon Lake area which is host to several
gold and base metal showings as well as the Marchington zinc-gold-silver
deposit located 4 kilometers northwest of the property. Work
completed on the property to date has included line cutting,
ground magnetometer, Horizontal Loop Max Min EM geophysical
surveys, geological mapping and lithogeochmical sampling. A
massive sphalerite boulder was found during the staking of the
property.
RJK has completed four diamond drill holes testing conductive
trends in highly altered felsic volcaniclastic rocks. All holes
intersected sections of massive, disseminated and stringer sulphide
mineralization up to 22.6 meters with anomalous base metal values.
